The known Brazilian director José Padilha presented a few days ago at Comic-Con the new version of Robocop, a film that will arrive next February and that will be quite different from previous installments, leaving prominence to the political tone and some other philosophical element.
As Padilha stated in the hotel where he is staying to attend this fair:
“The original film had a very ironic and violent tone, with a very strong charge against fascism and society. (…) The relationship between fascism and robotics will be very present. Remember how the war of Vietnam it ended when Americans began to be killed. The idea is that having autonomous robots means that the government does not feel that pressure at home. In a certain way, the same thing happens with the use of drones "
The film has had a budget of about 100 million dollars and for the Brazilian, this has been one more shoot without any pressure than in any of his previous works.
