John Carpenter returns to the cinema with The Ward

John Carpenter, one of the best American horror film directors, returns to the big screen with a new project calledor The Ward.

After 8 years of his last film work, and after television collaborations in horror series, Carpenter counted to The Hollywood Reporter how excited he is with TheWard: "It is precisely the script I was looking for: a very complex and deep story, full of horror and suspense." He said without hiding his passion for this type of cinema.

As it became known, the story will revolve around a demonic ghost that haunts the nights in a mental hospital. In this framework, the protagonist, played by Amber HeardShe will be a night guard at the hospital who will have to deal with the spirit while trying to fulfill her task.

The film that marks the return of Carpenter after the not very well received Ghost of mars 2001, will be produced by Doug Mankoff, Andy Spaulding and Mike Marcus for distributors To Bigger Boat and Echo Lake.
