Jack White presents new single and announces 'Lazaretto' for June

Jack White Lazaretto 2014

Jack White announced this week the upcoming release of his second solo album, following the celebrated debut album 'Blunderbuss'. The new album will be named 'Lazaretto' and will go on sale next June 9, through the record labels Columbia / Third Man Records. The title of the album derives from an Anglo-Saxon term coined during the XNUMXth century and which refers to the hospices where people went to recover from the plague in Venice.

As a preview of the new album, the former White Stripes member premiered in recent days 'High Ball Stepper', first single from the album. The advance has shown that the visual concept of the new work is not far from the previous album, although the difference seems to be marked by the musical, in what could be taken as an evolution. It is speculated that the new album will only contain instrumental songs, showing the skills and virtuosity that Jack White possesses with the guitar.

From this week it will be possible to reserve the limited edition of 'Lazaretto', which will consist of a special version on a two-color vinyl record (white and blue) and will include a poster, a classic photograph from the archives of the 'National Archives' and a 7-inch vinyl with the demo versions of 'Alone in My Home' and 'Entitlement', songs that are part of the new album, and will also feature a forty-page book.
