Iwrestledabearonce present the first single from "Hail Mary"

IWABO

iwrestledabearonce It may be the metal band that I like the most of all. That point that made it so special when Krysta Cameron was the vocalist, with her infernal roars combined with a voice in the purest Björk style, added that to the style halfway between the sly and the silly without losing a bit of strength in any of his songs, has just been completely lost with the premiere of the first single from his new LP, 'Hail Mary', to be released on June 15.

Since Krysta left the band due to the birth of her first child, it was Courtney laplante (Unicron) the one to take its place. Courtney's style when interpreting the themes of Iwrestledabearonce was the subject of more than one debate on social networks. Although he did not lose an iota of strength when shouting - let us also thank the filters applied to the voices, which must be said - the sung parts were seriously diminished in the live performances. Yes, Courtney's forte is not singing live. But this does not mean that the first album of the band with Courtney on vocals was bad ... far from it ... 'Late For Nothing' was the confirmation that IWABO knew exactly what he was doing with Courtney in the band.

But this week the first single from the album 'Hail Mary' was released, a song titled 'Erase It All'. IWABO come back very strong, even more than usual. That is good. Courtney screams like never before. That is good. 'Erase It All' doesn't have a single sung part. That's bad. Neither in the title of the song, nor the album, nor on the cover you can see those silly details so characteristic of the band. That's not bad ... it's super bad! IWABO come back strong, with a catchy song to the maximum, but that sounds like any other group of the same style, since they seem to have left aside their very personal touch. Does that mean the band goes overboard when trying to get Courtney to sing live?
