The winner of that contest was JD Fortune, and today, with a tour on top, the INXS made him out of the group, without further explanation.
The 35-year-old Canadian singer had participated in the album that marked the return to the stage of INXS. The work was titled Switch and was promoted with an extensive world tour that lasted several months. Switch achieved some recognition with the cuts Pretty Vegas and Afterglow, although it was always far from its best times.
JD Fortune, In an interview with his country's television, he explained that the INXS fired him at a Hong Kong airport: "I was traveling with these guys for 23 months and, suddenly, I found myself alone and with nothing", lamented the artist.
Thus, INXS is left with a pending album, with an uncertain future, since he will have to audition to find a new vocalist. For its part, Fortune spent all the money he had on recording a solo album, The Death of a Motivational Speaker, who expects you to succeed and achieve some recognition.
