The film has been directed by Fernando González Molina, recognized for his recent success on the big screen, in «Palm trees in the snow».
The premiere is scheduled for early next 2017, and the main role will be played by the actress Marta Etura, whom we saw in the cinema in "Cell 211".
The film is based on the «Baztan Trilogy«, By the Basque writer Dolores Redondo, who has already been read by more than a million and a half readers, and these novels have been adapted into more than 32 different languages. In addition to the Goya winner for "Cell 211", Marta Etura, the film features the stand-up comedian and actor Juan Carlos Librado "Nene".
La history has been set in Navarra, and it is being finished shooting these days in Elizondo (Navarra).
It all started with the acquisition of the novel by Peter Nadermann, producer of the saga "Millennium". The artistic director of the film, Antón Laguna, has affirmed that it will be a plot based on a rural environment, but that it can be converted into a Nordic “thiller”, in the style of “Millennium”.
The story focuses on the Baztán hotel, where the life of co-star Johan ("Nene") takes place. Its large windows suggest a careful image, and a disturbing photograph.
In an old carpentry that is located in Elbete, in the Baztan Valley, the first corpse will appear, in an environment decorated with cobwebs, old furniture, and even a dead cat. Other bodies will appear mysteriously, in different places in the forests.
From these mysterious crimes, Amaia is forced to take the rResearch stores and complex plots that he meets throughout his adventure. Family and personal ghosts will take her on a race against the clock to locate an assassin, capable of summoning the most terrifying, disturbing and powerful beings in Norse legends.
