HAIM teases details of their next album

HAIM 2016

A few weeks ago, the female group HAIM announced the upcoming release of what will be their second studio album. To this novelty, the advance of new material was added last May. Sisters Danielle, Alana and Este released two new songs live called 'Nothing's Wrong' and 'Give Me Just a Little of Your Love'.

In a recent interview for the American press, the HAIM sisters gave more details of their next work, that is, the album that will be the successor 'Days Are Gone', which was released three years ago. The HAIM girls have made it clear that there is still no set date for the release of the new work, although is preparing for it to be during next fall.

The female band also revealed that it has prepared more than 12 songs ready to enter the recording studio, among which is 'Give Me Just a Little of Your Love', a song that will be part of the new album and in which producers such as Ariel Rechtshaid and Rostam Batmanglij have collaborated (ex-Vampire Weekend). The sisters have turned their parents' house into a true recording and rehearsal studio, since the three of them define that this place has its own magic.

This, one of the members of the group commented to the press: “Before the recent rehearsals, everything was done in our living room, at our parents' house. There we wrote each of the songs from the previous album, like the one we are preparing. I found it somewhat surreal and emotional that our present was divided between disparate activities such as 'Yesterday we went to see the Grammy Awards and today we are already in the room looking to write a new album' ".

Danielle also revealed in the interview that many of the new topics were inspired by their current life, what it feels like to return home, the daily changes, the relationships they have left behind: "We are trying to return to normal life, but realizing that now it is totally different than before"added the group member.

Although the launch is scheduled for next fall, the sisters assure that this fact does not overwhelm them: “We make the music we make, we are not trying to reinvent the wheel. It has been more about being together and asking each other how we feel and how we want to express that ", confesses Este.
