Paul Walden was born in Jersey on June 6, 1964 and began his career at the Sands nightclub under the name Syndrone. Once he moved to the island of Ibiza, it was where he began to be a well-known face within the island's fashion club circuit, already as Guru Josh.

His great leap to fame occurred in 1989, when his song 'Infinity' became a hit in much of Europe, reaching number 1 on the charts in ten countries. After the 'Infinity' fever, Guru Josh continued with new projects, already within the world of multimedia production, such as Dr Devious and the Wisemen. But the 'Infinity' boom was not over yet. It was in 2008 that the great success of Guru Josh was reborn to achieve a new legion of fans of the current generation, repeating the same success in the charts that already lived in the early 90s.
