The call for the Gualeguaychú International Film Festival.
The objective of the Festival is dissemination and promotion of national (Argentine) and world cinematography. It seeks to favor the exhibition of Films, mainly of what is independent cinema, in order to achieve a dialogue between different nations, and to motivate film production.
The Festival will take place between February 17 and 21, 2009, in Gualeguaychú. It has the support of different institutions, among which the Audiovisual Institute of the Province of Entre Ríos and the Directorate of Culture of Gualeguaychú stand out, and there is a Commission specially created for the organization of the festival.
Within the organization of the festival, the general director, Cristian Gauna, Néstor Granda as artistic director, Raul Martorel in artistic production; Natalia Olier and Hugo Ledesma in the press, and MULTIMEDIAL ESTUDIO in the general production.
The categories in the official selection, which enter the competition, are Medium and Long Fiction, Medium and Long Documentary, and Short Films.
In what does not enter the competition, there are the categories of Latin American Cinema, Cinema and Gender, Cinema and Natural Resources, Cinema and human rights, and Argentine Cinema.
The prize will be $ 5000 (five thousand Argentine pesos), plus virgin material and decorations.
