The new film by Alfonso Cuarón «Gravity»Will be in charge of inaugurating the new edition of the Venice Film Festival.
The new job of Alfonso Cuarón, one of the most sounded to participate in the quintessential Italian competition, has been chosen to open this new edition of the festival, number 70.
It will be the third time that the director is present at the Venetian Lido. In 2001 Cuarón arrived at the Italian competition with "Y tu mama tambien", a film that was awarded the award for best screenplay. In 2006 he presented "Children of Men", which won the award for best photography for the great Emmanuel lubezki, who repeats as director of photography in "Gravity."
"Gravity", a film starring the Oscar winners Sandra Bullock y George Clooney, tells the story of two astronauts who try to return to earth after suffering an accident in space.
The film will be released on October 4 of this year, both in the United States and in Spain, with a view to entering the awards season and looking to win the odd nomination for the Oscar.
