Mariano ozores will be honored in the next edition of the Goya Awards receiving the Goya de Honor.
The director and screenwriter who will turn 89 next Monday, October 5, 2015 He will receive the honorary award from the Spanish Film Academy for his great work in cinema, a work that ended, of course, more than two decades ago, since he has been retired since 1993.
In the 34 years that he was active since his debut in 1959 with 'La dos y media y… venno' until he decided to retire from the world of cinema in 1993 after his last film 'Pelotazo nacional', Mariano Ozores made a whopping almost a hundred movies, being one of the greatest references of the time of uncovering.
His are classics of Spanish cinema such as 'Los bingueros', 'How is the service!' or 'The socialists are coming!' and at his orders have been some of the best actors of the humorous cinema of the time such as Andrés Pajares, Fernando Esteso, José Luis López Vázquez, Alfredo Landa or Gracita Morales.
His work, a benchmark of the national cinema of his time, has never been recognized to date and now the Spanish Film Academy has wanted to remember this master of spanish cinema.
