The whole Argentine country cries the death of 'La Negra' Mercedes Sosa, also known as'The Voice of America', who after being in very serious condition ended up leaving us today -in the city of Buenos Aires- victim of an iliver infection that was complicated by cardiorespiratory problems.
This staunch defender of Human Rights had 74 year old.
The displays of affection and sympathy from his close friends, family and fans around the world, did not wait:
"She is very important for Argentines and for Latin America. For her friends she was someone essential, a great fighter, an unrepeatable human being, very special".
"I am sad, I miss her singing, her strength, her fighting spirit, I would like everyone to see her and hug her".
"Mercedes has lived a wonderful life, full of light, with love and joy. I ask that you pray a lot for that wonderful heart".
