The new Italian movie Paolo Sorrentino «The great beauty»Has been well received in the new edition of the Cannes film festival.
«The great beauty» is a film in which its direction and excellent photography stand out above all. Much of the criticism has compared Sorrentino's new work with the cinema of Federico Fellini, especially with "La dolce vita."
Also very remarkable is the interpretation of its protagonist Toni Servillo, actor who enters the pools for the award for the best male performance this year.
Although not everything has been positive reviews and some media have charged against his script, in some moments something heavy, which causes the rhythm of the narration to suffer.
In any case, the balance of the film is quite positive and given the low level so far in this edition of the contest, it could even enter the list of winners.
