In Locarno, Switzerland, there very close to France, a much smaller festival has been celebrated since 1946 than Cannes , but no less interesting for that: the Locarno Film Festival.

With the beautiful Swiss landscape in the background, the festival brings together much of the best of world cinema and among its attractions, offers every year open-air screenings, programmed with a giant screen in Piazza Grande. This year's edition will have a large South American presence, with representatives from Argentina (The tango singer, de Diego Martinez Vignatti; y The invention of meat, Santiago loza) and Brazil (You Famous And You Duendes Da Morte, de Smyr Filho) in official competition.

The contest will take place between next August 5 and 15, and it will be the 62nd edition from the prestigious Swiss festival. You can enjoy the latest productions of directors such as Eugene Green, Masahiro Kobayashi, Amos Gitaï, Arnaud and Jean-Marie Larrieu, Nick Cassavetes and Byambasuren Davaa.
