'For greater glory (Cristiada)' we find stars like Andy Garcia, Eduardo Verástegui or Eva Longoria.

Dean Wright directs 'For greater glory (Cristiada)', the new bet of the cinema recently arrived from Mexico, which immerses us in a dramatic warlike universe interpreted by: Andy Garcia (General Enrique Gorostieta), Oscar Isaac (Victoriano “El Catorce” Ramírez), Catalina Sandino Moreno (Adriana), Santiago Cabrera (father Vega), Eduardo Verastegui (Anacleto González Flores) Eva Longoria (Tulita Gorostieta),  Peter O'Toole (Father Christopher), Bruce Greenwood (Ambassador Dwight Morrow), Rubén Blades (President Plutarco Elías) and Nestor Carbonell (Major Picazo), among others.

The script, by Michael Love, takes us back to 1926, when General Gorostieta, a retired military man, sees how Mexico enters a violent civil war. With the support of his wife, he decides to join the cause and transform an irregular group of rebels, who have no one to lead them, into a heroic force that will courageously defend a justice that seems lost.

From “For greater glory (Cristiada) ”, The latest Mexican blockbuster, we could say many things, but perhaps the most remarkable is the performances of Andy Garcia and Peter O'Toole, which are certainly the most successful of this film which addresses the Cristeros War, where Mexican Catholics were persecuted and murdered by the government of Plutarco Calles in the 20s.

"For greater glory (Cristiada)" is therefore a epic historical drama that arrives with a vocation of witness and betting on freedom. A story of exemplary lives based on ideals and convictions, from honesty to faith. Human attitudes that the director praises amidst blood and violent scenes, all of them well shot, and on the other hand, well combined with scenes destined to move us and move us. Perhaps on the negative side would be the footage of the tape. Recommendable.
