The film is about "Yankee" version, and according to many totally unnecessary, from the film by Juan José Campanella that received a multitude of awards five years ago, including the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film.
The original film narrated the story of Benjamín Espósito, an officer of a recently retired Investigative Court of Buenos Aires. Obsessed by a brutal murder that occurred twenty-five years earlier, in 1974, he decides to write a novel about the case, of which he was a witness and protagonist. Reliving the past, he also remembers the memory of a woman, whom he has loved in silence for all those years. In this "Made is USA" version, the protagonist is an MI5 agent. who travels to Los Angeles to help the FBI close an unsolved case.
