A very television cast, -Hugo Silva and Michelle Jenner, from Los Hombres de Paco, Norma Ruiz, from Yo soy Bea- and actors established in the cinema, such as Juan José Ballesta, -El Bola- and Fele Martínez, make up the cast of «Unresolved sexual tension», the last film currently filming by Miguel Ángel Lamata, -Isi Disi, Una de zombies.
Unresolved Sexual Tension is a romantic comedy, -little to do with what Lamata has offered us so far-, of university entanglements, between teachers, students and girlfriends affairs. Until now, Lamata had offered us humor in the purest “Torrente” style, - “unforgettable” scenes in Isi & Disi-, and it remains to be seen if he is now capable of switching to a more conventional cinema.
At the moment, it seems that he wants to get out of a somewhat freakish productions. The budget seems to allow him to make a more elaborate film than Una de zombies, -almost 4 and a half million euros-, and producer Andrés Vicente Gómez, -responsible for films like Belle Epoque, may put a bit of sanity in a director who promises, but so far has only remained at that. We will see.
