The filming of "The Hobbit" has begun

Finally, after numerous troubles that seemed like it was a cursed project, The shooting of the movie "The Hobbit" has started under the direction of Peter Jackson.

The cast is led by Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins and Ian McKellen as the magician Gandalf, a character he has already played in the "Lord of the Rings" saga.

Elijah Wood, Christopher Lee, Cate Blanchett and Orlando Bloom also appear in this prequel, repeating the same characters they played in "The Lord of the Rings."

As you all know, "The Hobbit" will be shot in two parts with a budget of 500 million dollars (352 million euros).

If all goes well, and there are no more incidents, in 2012 we will be able to enjoy the first part of "The Hobbit" in theaters.
