A few months ago you we advertised rumors of one of the blockbusters last year. And of course, REC had to come back. Jaume Balagueró and Paco Plaza get down to work and on Monday they start filming REC 2 in Barcelona.
The first part raised no less than 8 million Euros and had almost one and a half million viewers, which, seeing the panorama of Spanish cinema, is a real merit. But the real bombing came outside our borders, since worldwide it raised 27 million dollars, a not inconsiderable figure.
A year later, they wanted to repeat the success, and that is why they repeat the same technical teams. Now we will have to wait to know the details of the argument, although we can reveal that the story picks up where the previous one left off. That is, it is not a prequel, as rumored a few months ago, but the chronological continuation.
In short, we will see if that of which second parts were never good is fulfilled.
