Luigi falorni
The film that bears the title Fireheart directed by Luigi falorni, one of the candidate films for the Golden Bear in the Berlin Festival, is under suspicion of falsifying both the history it reflects and the drama of child soldiers in Eritrea.
For now, the author of the book on which the film is based, senait mehari has already received a lawsuit, since his book supposedly explains an autobiographical story in which Mehari recounts his own experience as girl soldier in a rebel army. 450.000 copies have already been sold and the publisher has rejected the accusation claiming that it is a campaign to harass the author.
For their part, at the Berlin Festival, they have tried to soften the controversy and clean up the image of the film, saying that what is presented at the festival is precisely that, a film and not a book ... Even so, whatever they say, the image of the film has already been damaged.
