For the first time since it debuted more than a decade ago, DVD sales fell in the United States, according to data from Home Media magazine. In the first half of the year, 6.8 million were sold, three percent less than in the same period last year.
This data had been repeated in many developing and developed countries. DVD sales are falling and piracy is growing by the day.
Sales are expected to rise in the second half of the year, as a result of the salute of Hollywood tanks such as Shrek 3, Pirates of the Caribbean 3 and other similar films. What will happen in the next few years? Will the DVD Industry End? Will Internet distribution win? Big questions.
