Little is being said on the web about the new film adaptation of Oscar Wilde's novel entitled The Portrait of Dorian Gray starring Ben Barnes and Colin Firth, directed by Oliver Parker.
The film will be titled Dorian Gray and we all already know what he will go: a young and handsome nobleman dedicates himself to the pleasures of the flesh and his greatest wish is to always stay this young. Once he is portrayed by artist Basil Hallward, his wish is fulfilled and he will never age again. On the other hand, if he will age his portrait, it will remind Dorian of each of his sins and vices.
If the film is half as good as the novel, we will be facing a great film but I am afraid it will not be like that.
