The documentary «Senna» achieved the third best average per copy last weekend

Believe it or not, documentaries have their audience in theaters and distributors sometimes earn a lot of money thanks to them. Last year, for example, the Spanish documentary "The Last Top" raised practically one million euros and it did not cost even € 40.000 to do so.

Another more current success is the American documentary "Inside Job" which has been carrying € 436.000 and rising.

In addition, last weekend the documentary «Senna», about the famous Formula 1 driver, and achieved the third best screen average, raising € 18.000 in just 11 screens. Its final collection in cinemas can reach € 50.000. Much more than what many Spanish movies on the big screen collect.
