Who is Don Quixote?

The Quijote, Don Quijote de la Mancha, is one of the most important works of Spanish and world literature. Published for the first time in 1605, it narrates the adventures of a lower-class aristocrat who, after reading many novels about knights, loses his mind and is believed to be one of them. It is the most translated work in the history of literature, the second most translated book after The Bible.

Disney's Don Quixote

Disney wants his Quixote to recall "Pirates of the Caribbean", with a very marked adventure style. It is not yet known when the project will begin to become a reality, much less when its premiere will be, but with all the adaptations that are being prepared for next year, it does not seem likely that Don Quixote will arrive before 2018. We do have the date of "Beauty and the Beast", with Emma Watson and Dan Stevens as protagonists, which will hit theaters on March 17, 2017.
