The rumor was that Daniel Craig would be the protagonist of the American remake of "Millennium", adaptation of Stieg Larsson's novels and, finally, we can already confirm that this rumor is true.
Now, the next news is that there is still no confirmed lead actress shuffling the names of Carey Muligan - the revelation of An Education -, and Natalie Portman, and there had even been talk of Kristen Stewart, the protagonist of the Twilight saga, but none of they have yet signed for the role.
This film is scheduled to be released in the US on December 21, 2011.
Outside of the USA I don't think it will be very successful because we have been able to enjoy the Swedish trilogy in theaters until recently… but you never know.
