Damon Albarn premieres 'Everyday Robots', his 1st solo single

Damon AlbarnLeader Blur and creator of Gorillaz, has just announced the publication of his first solo album, entitled 'Everyday Robots', which will be released on April 29. The first single that gives the album its name will be released in early March, but before that date the British musician has decided to anticipate the video for this song this week.

According to the statement released by his record label, Parlophone Records, 'Everyday Robots' is an album oriented to the sounds of the folk and soul style, which throughout its twelve songs invite you to enter the real world of Damon Albarn. The record company ensures that: "The content of the themes is more direct and personal than ever, inspired by the experiences of Damon Albarn, from his childhood until today, referring to the characteristics of modern life, video games, mobile phones and nature versus technology".

The new album was recorded throughout 2013 in Albarn's private studio, and has been produced by Richard Russell, with whom the former Blur frontman collaborated on Bobby Womack's 'The Bravest Man In The Universe'. The album also features special collaborations from Brian Eno and Natasha Khan (Bat For Lashes). The first single released this week will be released March 3 on seven-inch vinyl with the theme 'Fences' on its B-side. The deluxe version of the album will include a DVD with songs from the album performed live at Fox Studios in Los Angeles (USA).
