When I saw the first preview of the Infected movie, directed and written by the Pastor brothers, who are Spanish but have managed to get their First Opera produced in America, I thought it would be before a great film on the subject, not very original, of a virus that fatally attacks almost everyone, and where two brothers with their girls travel in a car to try to get to an abandoned motel years ago thinking that they will be able to live there in peace.
However, after seeing the film, I must say that it fails where I thought all its successes would be, that is, it presents us with a horrible situation, almost all of humanity is dead, and they travel so calm and "funny" in a car As if nothing happened. In addition, as the movie Scream parodied, they dare to break all the rules that these types of films have, such as helping a sick person, picking up people on the road, etc.
If this film had been worked on by providing acute credibility and the characters showed their panic at the situation they are experiencing, a great film in the style of "28 days" or "The Invasion of Body Thieves" could have been made.
Since the movie Infected lasts only 76 minutes, it is entertaining and not boring, but it could have been a good movie and it stays in the water.
