Criticism of Imago Mortis, dull movie Mortis

imago_17

La Imago Mortis movie, a co-production between Spain, Italy and Ireland, it premiered several months ago in our country, achieving an acceptable box office on its first weekend and then its collection plummeted and, once this film is seen in first person, I already understand why.

Imago Mortis presents us with a topical suspense story located in a film school where a student (Alberto Amarilla) begins to appear a ghost. This one, in his appearances, gives him the necessary keys to find in a cave a closed box with a rare instrument called a thanatoscope. As the director of the center (Geraldine Chaplin) tells him and his girlfriend (Oona Chaplin) it was used to take, as in a photograph, the last image of the retina that the deceased retained.

However, after the presentation of the characters and the story, the film gets lost in a tangle of situations and, as a culmination, has an ending that there is no where to take it because the film ends without explaining anything, or why they happen. the murderers, ATTENTION SPOILERS, nor why teachers are so interested in this device. END OF SPOILERS.

In addition, as the film was shot in English to facilitate its sale to other countries, it should be noted that the dubbing they have done in Spanish is terrible, especially that of the protagonist.

Just don't waste your time.
