Resistance, directed by Edward Zwick, is based on a true event, where some brothers (Bielski) helped thousands of Jews escape, in World War II, hiding them in the woods, and forming a large community although always on the lookout and passing hardships.
The story, I think, is very filmic and everyone should know about it. It seems incredible that, today, there are still wars like in Gaza or in many areas of Africa where hundreds of villages are razed without the UN or the USA being affected.
Resistencia offers two hours of footage that at no time becomes heavy because the viewer's tension is always maintained.
In addition, the tension and the continuous confrontations of the two older brothers are quite well developed although we all know at the end what is going to happen.
In short, I recommend Resistance to have a good time entertaining.
