I think we all agree that the quality of films today leaves much to be desired but it is clear that last year and this year two films were released that are true masterpieces.
These masterpieces have left the Pixar factory with Wall-e y UP.
Wall-e It is quite a sample of how to make good cinema without the need for dialogue in the first part, and even when the dialogue begins it loses a bit of quality. However, this does not mean that we are facing a masterpiece.
And with UPAfter all the criticism received for having an old man as the protagonist, the same thing happens. The first five minutes of the film should be shown in all Film Academies as a true work of art. That summary of the life of a couple from when they meet in childhood until one of them dies is truly devastating and, I must admit, I even shed tears.
From that moment on, the old man's adventure begins to achieve the wish that both could not fulfill. This trip will be done with a stowaway, a chubby and innocent boy scout who will finally make the old man regain the illusions of living once his goal has been achieved.
The moment when the old man reopens his wife's diary and sees that there are more filled pages is also especially sentimental.
In short, go see UP that this is not a movie for young children.
