La Comedy Year One, which has cost a whopping 60 million dollars, has been one of the great fiascos of the summer at the American box office but still has grossed about 40 million when, due to its poor quality that does not make hyenas even laugh, it should having raised less than $ 10 million.
This movie introduces us to a lazy and plump caveman (Jack Black) who is a zero to the left for the rest of his group because he does not know how to hunt, or build tents, or be a good companion and only gets into trouble. So many that, finally, he will be expelled from his tribe, being accompanied by the only friend he has within it (Michael Cera). Both will live numerous adventures on their way full of biblical references such as the story of the brothers Cain and Abel, the sinful city of Sodom, etc., but that will not make the viewer laugh at any single moment.
Also, if there is an actor with whom I can not, it is Jack Black. The truth is that I do not know how he has made a dent in Hollywood because he is a terrible actor. I'm sorry but it makes me sick and in all the films that King Kong, School of Rock, etc. appear, he makes some disastrous performances.
