Criticism of The Last House on the Left: Better not to touch the classics

lasthouse left

El remake of the horror classic The Last House on the Left Directed by Dennis Iliadis under the production of Wes Craven who directed the pioneer back in the 70's, it leaves much to be desired.

Sometimes, come on, almost always, it is better not to remake a classic movie because it will always get lost.

And, with this remake of The Last House On The Left we are before a clear example of the aforementioned. If in a Wes Craven classic, the viewer felt distressed by the madness of the trio that raped young women, with very strong and uncomfortable images, now everything is left in a very soft rape scene and with a posture that is impossible to penetrate but anyway. I'm not going to be so picky.

The scenes of the murders and deaths are quite different because they are shown without any kind of shame such as the stabbing, blows to the head, shots, etc., so for some it will be something gore.

As for the story, I think the role of the murderer's son is unnecessary because it is not necessary to tell this story. In addition, it is poorly drawn in the script and we do not empathize with it.

On the other hand, the final scene and last death is totally free.
