Review of «Cowboys & Aliens»: one of cowboys like those of before, but now

Note: this review does not contain spoilers.

Director Jon Favreau's new film continues to sweep the American box office. Favreau brings us the most typical elements of the old cowboy movies but with elements of today. Who could imagine alien ships in the Wild West? This is how original the plot of a film with large doses of action is presented and whose plot will revolve around the protagonist, Daniel Craig, who has lost his memory and knows little or nothing about himself. He is only accompanied by a strange bracelet that gives him enough courage to face any rival.

However, we are used to seeing Craig in the role of "tough guy". Who does stand out in his performance is Harrison Ford, who goes in search of his spoiled son, who has been abducted by aliens. There begins the argument in which we put aside the tensions between sheriffs and the most wanted, the bad guys and the good guys and the Indians and the cowboys. Now there is a greater threat that we do not know where it comes from and why it has reached Earth.

The film comes to touch incredible moments but that do not stop being funny. However, Hollywood falls back into the stereotype that the "girl has to be impeccable at all times." For this reason, the character of Ella always appears with impeccable makeup, it does not matter if she has just come out of the water.

In short, a film with a very original script that is worth seeing. It will arrive in Spain next September.
