In an interview published last week, Courtney Love announced that the production of the Kurt Cobain biopic would be starting next year. Love confirmed that she is involved in the film's casting and production processes, alongside her daughter, Frances Bean, and fellow Nirvana members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic.
Courtney Love stated in the interview: «The biopic should start next year at the latest. I don't want to name possible actors just yet, because I don't want to bring bad luck to anyone, but these are 25-year-old blond, gorgeous guys and the new Brad Pitt. Some of them are very good actors, not just pretty faces. I don't want to be the person who makes the decision of who will be the protagonist of the film ».
In addition to the named biopic, another similar production would also be about to end, a documentary about Cobain Directed by Brett Morgen, who previously filmed the Rolling Stones' 'Crossfire Hurricane'. Love has advanced that it is a film inspired by 'Lenny', Bob Fosse's film about Lenny Bruce and added: "In this documentary I participate in the story together with Krist Novoselic and Kurt's mother".
