Corey Taylor (Slipknot): "It's not worth buying new music"

Corey Taylor

The leader of Slipknot has declared for the interesting musical magazine Kerrang! that music companies are the only culprits that more and more people are downloading material over the internet, since “lMost of the bands they sign are nothing but trash".

"Why should users be accused?… Half of the albums that are for sale are nothing more than garbage… I don't download anything, but at the same time I don't buy anything new simply because there is nothing good. Only a few deserve to be heard and if I have to buy something, I buy material from old bands because they still sound very good."He explained.

"Now you want to blame people for the decline in sales, but they have caused the problem themselves. It is the quality of the product. If companies stopped offering music contracts to any asshole who comes in with a demo, they would surely sell more"He added.
