Congratulations Ford

Long ago, in a galaxy ... ahem ... It was a day like today, 65 years ago, on July 13th saw the birth of the man who would be today, not only one of the highest paid actors in the world, but also one of the stars that illuminates Hollywood with an elegance that characterizes him especially that of Harrison Ford.

It was not an easy road, far from it, the one that led him to be who he is now. He failed in his Philosophy studies at Ripon College and took refuge in acting classes, he barely got some roles in theater and little else, but he did not feed him and his family so he had several jobs, including that of carpenter, a trade that he learned practically by obligation, because he needed to restore his house and did not have financial resources for it, so he went to the local library and began to read everything he needed about carpentry and DIY, in a short time he managed to learn what he needed to restore his house for considerably less money than they would charge him. It can be said that he used his house as learning workshop, and yes, it worked out pretty well for him, as it helped him get a job later. Soon he began to earn more income as a carpenter than as an actor, but the woodworking would put him back on the path he should follow, placing him on the stepping stone that would lead him to stardom in the future: He was working as a carpenter for Hollywood studios when he They used to give the replica in the auditions for the role of Princess Leia, they liked her style and also she had already worked on "American Graffiti", they undoubtedly liked it and they offered her the role. He took his big leap as Han Solo and landed on solid ground with Indiana Jones.

He has acted in good films, some with great success, others with less, but in all of them he shows us that his quality as an actor does not decline. We can see, still, despite the years and unlike what others would do, how he dares to incarnate again one of his favorite characters, the most adventurous archaeologist, Indiana Jones. There is less to see it on the big screen ... 😀

Happy Birthday Harrison Ford!
