A few years ago, the creators of the media series Lost, producer JJ Abrams and his partner Matt Reeves, decided to take advantage of the success of Lost and venture into the big screen. The result of that adventure was Cloverfield, a movie in real time, that followed a group of friends involved in the middle of an alien attack in the middle of New York.
Cloverfield it worked very well around the world and that is why Abrams and Reeves are already planning a sequel. While J.J. Abrams post-production of the new Star Trek (tape he directed), he made a hole to attend the convention WonderCon, in which he presented a preview of Star Trek and answered some questions from the audience.
Asked about the possibility of a second part of Cloverfield, the filmmaker assured that, if made, it would have the same quality as the previous one and revealed that "We are already working on a new concept for Cloverfield 2 right now", which opened the hopes of the fans.
Abrams Books ended by saying: “We are going to do something that we really consider ourselves totally inspired to do. However, this does not mean that it is definitely already official in our plans.
