Class

Among the premieres that this week will be produced in the United States is the French film «Between ler Murs«, Translated into Spanish as«Class«.

The story is pretty straightforward. A young French language teacher, Fracois, must face students between 14 and 15 years of age. Facing him are, mainly, Esmeralda, Souleymane and Khouma, but it is the whole class that returns him fair sentences in a discussion that does nothing more than touch the limits between the democratic and the purely anarchic. It will be part of the game to get the verb to solve the difficulties that occur in the confrontation.

Directed by Laurent Cantet, a director that we have already seen in the same role in the 2005 film «Towards the South». And written by Francoise Bégaudeau, who makes his debut in the roles that he occupies in the film. The same screenwriter is in the cast, along with Laura Baquela, Juliette Demaille, Arthur Fogel, Nassim Amrabt, Cherif Bounaidja Rachedi, Dalla Doucoure, and Damien Gomes.

A film that I think was released in Spain last week, and that only opened in theaters in the United States on January 30. It may be an interesting proposition just because of the use of the French verb. For everything else, I think it will be a forgettable film.
