Christina Rosenvinge - An Unsolved Case (2011)

An unsolved case

This past year has done justice to Christina Rosenvinge. On November 29, a compilation was published with the vast majority of successes that the Madrid artist has left in  more than 20 years of musical career behind their backs.

"An Unsolved Case" It is a work that Christina Rosenvinge has agreed to publish after years of requests and suggestions from friends and the label, it is the antithesis of all those compilations with messy songs that everyone already knows or possesses in CD format. Quite the contrary, we find ourselves a chronological review of one of the most surprising musical careers in our country. Who else, who less, has missed some of its stages and it was welcome to put all these compositions in the same box to understand the career of the only artist who has performed in the Primavera Sound and at the OTI Festival, as is being said during the promotion.

The box is one of the conscientiously made ones: it includes four CDs, a DVD and a booklet of more than 50 pages with lost photos of Alberto García Alix and Pablo Zamora, among others, and texts by Lee Ranaldo, Julio Ruiz, Jordi Bianciotto, Jesús Ordovás, Nacho Vegas, Tim Folhjan, Refree or David Bonilla

The first cd picks up his first stage in Christina and the Downworlders, the second includes her trilogy in a foreign language, while CD3 includes the themes of her last two works and those that make up the artist's creative peak. The CD4 includes rarities such as “Chas y Aparezco a Tu Lado”, demos and songs included in other works such as “Verano Fatal” that he released in an EP together with Nacho Vegas.

This compilation gives the true dimension of the artist that many have criticized for her first stage of apparently superficial pop but that in the end seems necessary to understand why, without any doubt, she is one of our greatest values in our country.
