Variety confirmed that Christian Slater, together with Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje ("Lost") and Holt mccallany joined the cast. Slater will play a local middle man, while McCallany will play a corrupt cop, while Akinnuoye-Agbaje will play the main villain, a lawyer trying to cover up his scam to blow up the slums that have been devastated by Hurricane Katrina.
