Children of Bodom trace their origins with the new 'Halo of Blood'

'Halo of Blood' is the name of the album of the Finnish extreme metal group Children Of Bodom, which since last Friday (7) is available for download on iTunes in Europe, and from June 11 in the rest of the world through the Nuclear Blast Records label. In this eighth album the Children of Bodom they maintain their style of hard rock that gravitates between melodic death metal and melodic black metal that has characterized them for two decades.

The first single from the new album was 'Transference', released at the end of last April, and which was well received by its followers. This track was followed a month later by the single that gives its name to the album, 'Halo of Blood', a song that shows how Finns know how to make good black metal despite time. Last year, drummer Jaska Raatikainen teased about this new material, describing it as dark and with a strong hint of black metal, hinting that the Finns are looking to return to their glorious origins.

Recording 'Halo of Blood' began last February, at Danger Johnny Studios in Helsinki (Finland), and was in charge of the Swedish producer Peter Tägtgren, who also produced the band's third album, 'Follow the Reaper', in 2000, and the first with him they got a gold record in Finland.
