A few days ago, the singer of The Killers, Brandon Flowers, announced the upcoming release of his second solo album. Flowers' new work is called The Desired Effect and will be released on May 18. Flowers revealed the news through a handwritten message and a 30-second clip that were posted on his website and then disseminated through social media.

As reported in an interview a few months ago, this new album has been recorded at Battle Born Studios (Nevada, USA) and featured production by Ariel rechtshaid, known for his extensive career in the industry, and his work with artists such as Vampire Weekend, Charli XCX, Haim, Sky Ferreira, Kylie Minogue and recently Madonna's new album Rebel Heart.
