The legendary singer-songwriter is incorporated as the new headliner for the 2012 edition of the Benicàssim International Festival, as reported by sources in the organization. It is a "luxury addition" to the festival, which this year will feature bands such as Stone Roses, New Order, Florence and The Machine, David Getta and Noel Gallagher, among others.
The American musician, singer and poet has become one of the greatest figures in music and is considered one of the composers and performers most influential of the twentieth century for its long and wide musical journey.
Bob Dylan has edited songs throughout his 50-year career that have become classics over time such as Like a Rolling Stone, Blowin in the wind o The Times are a Changin. His presence at the FIB is added to that of music classics that have passed through the festival grounds in recent years, such as Enrique Morente, Lou Reed, Donovan, Leonard Cohen and Iggy Pop.
The festival will be held from July 12 to 15 at the Benicassim municipal venue. The organization of the festival has expressed "satisfaction" at being able to bring to Benicàssim a mythical figure like Bob Dylan, who will be touring Europe this year.
