Belle and Sebastian to record new album from March

Scottish indie pop band, Belle and sebastian, announced that during the month of March he will lock himself in the recording studio to work on what will be his new studio album. The singer of the band, Stuart murdoch, surprised a few days ago when declaring to the British press that this new work would be inspired by the popular Eurovision music contest.

Murdoch stated in this regard: “This may sound like a joke to you, but we still have that thing called 'Eurovision Song Contest' which is an inspiring bouquet of songs and countries. For example, Abba won it in 1974 for Sweden, and that's how they got their big break. That was the last great song of this European competition ".

Murdoch added on the subject: “I remember telling the group a short time ago: I want to write a song that sounds like the one that represented Cyprus in 1974, and then another that sounds like the one that represented Germany in 1989, or something along those lines. Maybe this is not fully reflected in the album, but somehow that's where our inspiration for the next album came from ". 2014 apparently will not only bring a new album by Belle and Sebastian, since this year will also be released the first musical film by Stuart Murdoch, called 'God Help The Girl', a work that has won the special jury award at the 'Sundance festival' a few days ago.
