'Awkan': new recidivist album book

restart

Repeat offenders They will edit their second book called 'Awkan', but this time not in an autobiographical tone but through a very interesting index composed of twelve of his best songs, about which the anthropologist Ángel del Río, a professor at the Pablo de Olavide University in Seville, and the members of the band itself, they reel off the themes of these songs, deepening their message, trying to open spaces for reflection and debate on problems in our world and to which no one is completely alien.

Inside this book are housed a Live DVD with the concert performed by Reincidentes in the city of Buenos Aires on 25/08/2015, and the audio of said concert on CD with extra songs, so this is the second official live album of the Sevillian band. Luxury guests such as Ciro Pertusi (Jauría and former Attaque 77) Mariano Martinez (Attaque 77), the vocalists and the wind section of La Vela Puerca or Pipi (The Lokos and Ska-p) help, together with the Argentine public, to give form an unforgettable concert. Reoffenders also offer us in this work a CD with 6 new songs recorded in the studio, faithful to their style and to that constant evolution to which these four musicians and two technicians have accustomed us in these 30 years of existence as a band. This coming December they begin a promotional tour for the presentation of this work.

The germ of Reoffenders is found in the Sevillian band Incidente Local, which had a fleeting passage through the scene of its city between 1985 and 1986. Since then, Reoffenders has grown and developed his personality, becoming one of the most social rock bands. Andalusia and, of course, the Spanish State. Among his best-known songs are "Whole Andalusia" (dedicated to the town of communist aspirations Marinaleda), "History repeats itself", "Camela-3" (criticism of information manipulation, directly attacking the television channel Antena 3), "Vicio", "Speaking with my brain", "Un pueblo" (about the Basque conflict, with the collaboration of Fermín Muguruza) or "Ay Dolores" (dedicated to battered women, including flamenco choirs).
