This weekend Spanish box office has returned to being for the movie Avatar, which is already only half a million euros away from taking the record from Titanic as the highest grossing film of all history in our country.

In second place, thanks to Hugh Grant's visit to Spain to promote his film, the comedy What's wrong with the Morgans? manages to raise a total of € 1,28. A good figure because in the USA this comedy has been a failure.
In third place we are at sequel to alvin and the chipmunks which, too, is sweeping the world box office, especially in the USA, and not even its producers expected such a blockbuster.
The fourth place is for the European production, although it seems American, of the adventures of Solomon Kane, which loses 58% of collection, but manages to add € 610.000 for a total of € 2,75 million in two weeks. A very good figure for a film that, until a few months ago, did not find distribution.
The premiere of Corrupt Lieutenant, with Nicolas Cage, only managed to debut in fifth place with € 590.000 while the premiere of A serious guy, directed by the Coen brothers, with only 62 copies, has raised € 285.000 in revenue.
Meryl Streep's comedy, Not so easy, achieves a collection of € 445.000 and accumulates almost 4 million euros of collection.
For the rest, in the last positions we find the films The ghosts of my ex-girlfriends, Cell 211, and The Consul of Sodom.
