Asian cinema is in vogue, perhaps because we are getting a little tired of the clichés and conventions of Western cinema, and Eastern cinema offers us a fascinating new point of view of old and new subjects. On April 27 and until May 6, Barcelona will host the ninth Barcelona Asian Film Festival (BAFF), considered the best in Europe specialized in this genre.
A total of 60 films are exhibited for the six sections of the Festival: Official, Asian selection, Special Sessions, Anime / Nippon Space, Connection, D-cinema and guest country, which this time is China.
The BAFF sessions will be screened in various cinemas and cultural spaces in the city such as the Center de Cultura Contempor? nia de Barcelona, the Aribau, Casa Àsia, Espai Social Caja Madrid and the FNAC cinemas.
