Between Robert De Niro, Jude Law and Brian Blessed it seemed like there was Odin in the next Thor movie, but the surprise these days was that the great Anthony Hopkins would finally be chosen to give life to the Norse god.
Some terms of the contract still need to be fixed, but The Hollywood Reporter site posted that it's only a matter of time before Hopkins officially joins the cast of Thor..
If the incorporation of the English actor finally materializes, Marvel's hero adaptation will feature a multi-star cast. Among those already confirmed are Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as his brother Loki, Natalie Portman, Jaimie Alexander, and Colm Feore.
The position for Odin already seems to have an owner, but the film directed by Kenneth Branagh does not give up and seems to be negotiating the entry of Robert De Niro and Jude Law, in some other role.
