The Who announced their 50th anniversary tour for the end of the year

The Who 50 Tour

As announced several months ago, the British group The Who confirmed this week a tour of different cities in the UK to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the formation of this legendary rock band. The two legendary members of the group, Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend, made the official announcement during a press conference organized at the famous London jazz club Ronnie Scott's.

Daltrey pointed out that this tour marks the beginning of a long announced goodbye. The British singer stated at the press conference: “We cannot continue playing forever but we do not know when we will finish this tour, the final end has not been decided. But for sure there will be an end. We'll finish the tour, I'm sure, before we stop playing as a band. As Eric Clapton said not long ago, it's very hard to be on tour at this age, very hard physically, really ".

The tour that will bear the name of 'The Who Hits 50 Tour' will do a retrospective of the entire career of this historic band, and will include their best-known hits, such as 'Who Are You', 'Pinball Wizard' and 'Baba O'Riley'. The tour is scheduled for nine dates and will begin on November 30 in Glasgow (Scotland), on December 2, and will pass through Leeds, on the 5th for Nottingham, on the 7th for Birmingham, on the 9th for Newcastle, on the 11th for Liverpool , on the 12th for Manchester, the 15th for Cardiff and will end on the 17th in the city of London at the O2 Arena.
