Andrew Garfield talks about the movie «Spiderman 2.0»

The young actor Andrew Garfield, who will play the new and teenage Peter Parker in the reboot of the series with "Spiderman 2.0", has told the press about the film and his character the following:

Yes, tennis balls. Acting with tennis balls and a green screen, I love the idea. I did 'The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus' with Terry Guillam and it was the first time I did things on green screen. I actually loved it. It is clear that I love being in a real environment, but the other side… taking a step back towards childhood and their imagination, I love it. It is a challenge, but fun and childish, something that must be perfected ”.
Garfield also said that he has been advised by a source (who wished to leave anonymous) on the iconic role of Peter Parker's character:
“Someone who must be listened to, I will not say who, said to me: Don't try to live with it. I don't think I have to live up to what this symbol is to people. At first I thought it was reassuring, but no, I really want to live up to that symbol. When I was 12 years old, I saw the fight that Peter Parker had to help society, he wanted to be up to the task. I realized that even Peter Parker tries to meet an icon like Spider-Man. That's what makes him so special, but you don't have to live by it, because even Parker can't do it. "

I remind you that "Spider-Man" will hit theaters on July 3, 2012, with Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Sally Field and Martin Sheen in its cast.
